As a company that has many team members in Ukraine, we stand in solidarity with those affected by the Russian invasion.

Actions taken

Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Freezvon has been focused on three main avenues of showing our support to Ukraine:

  1. Ensuring the safety and uninterrupted network access of our employees in Ukraine;
  2. Stopping cooperation with Russian enterprises;
  3. Private humanitarian aid and donations, and encouraging individual contributions.

We are deeply saddened by the destruction and human loss brought about by the ongoing war, and are committed to doing our part to provide support to the people of Ukraine, from our team members, to our clients and partners, to the people of Ukraine as a whole, wherever they are.

Commitment to safety

We are closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine, and maintain communication channels with all personnel there when needed, doing what we can to ensure their safety:

  • Supporting relocation from high-risk areas to safer parts of the country or abroad;
  • Providing job transfers to the main office in Estonia and other regional offices in Portugal, Cyprus, and Hong Kong;
  • Adjusted salary support reflecting local economic conditions in Ukraine to offer financial safety;
  • Providing technical support for emergencies such as blackouts.

Compliance with international sanctions and business restrictions

We have implemented restrictions on business with Russian entities in several areas:

  • We do not engage in business with entities or individuals subject to sanctions, including those connected to the governments of Russia, Belarus, or Iran;
  • We ceased cooperation with Russian telecom providers and subsequently no longer offer Russian phone numbers;
  • We do not accept ID documents issued by the Russian/Belarusian/Iranian government for verification purposes.

In certain cases, additional verification may be required to confirm that a client or user is not subject to sanctions or operating from a restricted jurisdiction.

Private humanitarian aid and donations

While Freezvon has not made direct corporate donations, our founders, leadership, and many members of our team personally and voluntarily contribute to fundraisers focused on Ukrainian aid and humanitarian relief. We interviewed our team members to select the top five Ukrainian charities that we donate to the most and will not hesitate to recommend as donation recipients:While Freezvon has not made direct corporate donations, our founders, leadership, and many members of our team personally and voluntarily contribute to fundraisers focused on Ukrainian aid and humanitarian relief. Come Back Alive

Operates in Ukraine since 2014. Has convenient annual reporting and a catalogue of already implemented projects, so it’s easy to track the usage of funds. Projects range from veteran rehabilitation to providing specially equipped medical evacuation vehicles. Currently, they are fundraising to protect Ukrainian cities from aerial threats, which is an important move to prevent destruction and human loss.

United24

It’s an initiative of the Office of the President of Ukraine. This platform provides a convenient choice of fundraisers categorized by their goal, such as protection of civilians, humanitarian demining, medical aid, reconstruction, or education and science. Posts daily reports filtered by category. Has a groundbreaking app allowing you to support a specific unit of your choice and make a direct, trackable impact - by phone.

East SOS

Another charity organization has been active since before the full-scale invasion, in 2015, after Russia occupied Crimea and parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. East SOS helps the most vulnerable people - those in temporarily occupied territories (TOT), internally displaced, and people living on frontlines or near them. They have a hotline with informational and psychological support, document war crimes, provide necessities, assist with evacuation, and more. Has comprehensive yearly financial reports. They provide many options for donation, from wire transfer to cryptocurrency. For American citizens, there is a partner organization, East SOS USA, where your contributions will be tax-deductible.

UAnimals

Animal rights advocacy organization, UAnimals helps to rescue animals from the front lines and disaster sites. In addition to evacuation, UAnimals helps with finding housing for animals: from zoos, farm animals, or pets whose owners passed away or are otherwise incapacitated. They have one-time or monthly donations, and you can even buy a "ticket" for animal evacuation, where proceeds will go to fund the efforts to bring animals to safety.

Hospitallers

Brave paramedics who save lives on the frontlines. Also offer first aid courses for civilians, which allows them to indirectly save lives in this way as well. They mainly raise funds for medical supplies and humanitarian missions - you can check their annual and semi-annual reports online. A lot of paramedics in this organization are women, and their stories are very inspiring.

The organizations listed above are provided for informational purposes only. Freezvon does not facilitate or process donations and encourages individuals to verify donation channels and comply with local and international regulations when making charitable contributions.
